Business Assurance
The Business Assurance team provides clients with a wide range of financial advice.
Auditing forms the heart of business assurance. Auditing involves obtaining an in-depth
understanding of our clients’ operations, the industry in which they operate
and the commercial and financial issues they face. As a result, we have the knowledge
and experience to thoroughly check their financial accounts and records.
Most of our work is undertaken on-site at a client’s premises, checking that
the information provided in financial statements is correct and meets our expectations.
These expectations arise from our expertise in various industry sectors, interactions
with key decision makers and continuous research into the changes occurring at our
clients’ businesses and the sectors in which they operate.
Depending on the type of client and the number of people in the team, a job in business
assurance provides new challenges, daily. It truly is the first step to gaining
a thorough understanding of how a business really operates.
The moment you walk through the door, you’ll be a member of a team contributing
to a variety of areas on the assignment. This might include taking part in on-site
audits, liaising with stakeholder-level decision makers and understanding how we
can advise clients on the future of their business. You will learn new skills with
every assignment and have the continuous support and guidance of senior members
of the team.
Although much of our work is located at clients’ offices in the surrounding
area, an assignment could take you around the world. Recent assignments have seen
some of our teams travel to far flung places, such as Kazakhstan and Mali.
