Sheffield
I attended University of Sheffield obtaining a degree in Economics and Geography
graduating in 1996.
I joined Moores Rowland in Walsall in 1997 on the graduate ACA scheme in the audit
department. Moores Rowland merged with BDO Stoy Hayward in 1999 and after qualifying
I moved into business tax following a secondment. After completing my CTA exams
in 2001 I joined the Birmingham tax team. I am now a Tax Manager and have had the
opportunity to gain experience on Corporate Finance deals and tax consultancy projects
as well as managing a portfolio of corporate advisory clients in a growing department.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sheffield University and believe that the students which are attracted to that University will enjoy the challenge of working at BDO Stoy Hayward because of the variety of work and opportunities, which are on offer, as well as a strong firm culture which actively does encourage a work life balance and aims to enhance the best from each individual, by offering good training and team support.
