Forensic Services
Forensic Services is involved in anti-money laundering and regulatory investigations,
fraud and economic crime investigations, disputes and claims. Within Forensic Services
we offer opportunities in:
Forensic Accounting and Technology Forensics
There is no such thing as a typical job in Forensic Services. No two days are the
same. It’s a job for those of you who like the idea of facing a new challenge
on every assignment, whether it is drafting a report or witness statement for submission
to Court, producing calculations to quantify a loss or sifting through sensitive
documents to find that one piece of incriminating evidence.
Within Forensic Accounting, we are looking for Industrial Placement students to work from early August 2008 to early September 2009. For Technology Forensics, applicants will require a computer-related
degree and will have the option of studying towards an
ACCA qualification, while obtaining world class digital forensic training.
Tax Investigations
Every tax investigation is different. It could involve fraud, false invoices and
company accounts, undeclared offshore bank accounts and transactions which have
not been declared to HM Revenue & Customs - or all of them together. We are
also involved in more technical cases and may be called upon to examine evidence
and consider whether companies or individuals are really resident outside the UK
or whether corporate and trust structures are artificial, for example.
You will be involved at every stage of the process - this could be within the main
part of the Tax Investigations group or you may get involved in work on employment
tax issues. You will also study for the CTA
(Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification.
Risk Advisory Services
Risk affects every company differently. But in our experience, what all companies
have in common is that they are more exposed than they think.
Our RAS department is made up of three different streams:
