Located in the heart of Bristol, five minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads Rail Station and 10 minutes from the City Centre. The office is situated on the Floating Harbour with great views of the water and next to Castle Park. The park provides a grassy spot for summer lunches, which, if you don’t bring your own, can be found in the many local coffee and sandwich shops. The FTC teaching centre (where ACA trainees study) is just a short walk away.
The firm has ambitious plans for Bristol and our office has grown to 65 people over the last two years following a major investment in high quality personnel. It is a very friendly, sociable office and, as one of the smaller BDO Stoy Hayward offices, there is a good opportunity to get to know everyone with social events involving people from across all departments. There is a thriving social committee with regular events which, to date, have included the annual Summer get together, comedy nights, a harbour cruise, pub quiz, and First Friday drinks (fairly self explanatory).
The office has recently been refurbished so the facilities are of a very high standard with bright comfortable surroundings. On-site amenities include a fully functioning kitchen for all staff to use. In the ongoing effort to keep us all fit and healthy, the office is also provided with fresh fruit on a daily basis. It all helps!
Laura Barrow – Business Assurance
Laura graduated in Maths and Astrophysics from Cambridge University in 2005. After
a stint volunteering for a charity in the UK and the Philippines, she joined BDO
Stoy Hayward in our Bristol office where she’s part of the Business Assurance
team. Laura has recently completed her professional stage and is looking forward to qualifying next year.
