Our people
What is different about BDO Stoy Hayward?
BDO Stoy Haywards’s differences I think are highlighted mainly through the
awards that it’s won, for example the Accountancy Age Employer of the Year
Award for 2004 and 2005. I think it’s the only company to have done that so
far. And being No.19 in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For list. I
think those awards are because of its focus on employees in its workforce and its
work-life balance.
What do you like about the firm's culture?
The culture at BDO Stoy Hayward is basically open: open to suggestions, open to
new ideas, open to feedback from me and for me, and generally open to the possibility
of change.
What is the firm's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)?
The firm does have a strong corporate and social responsibility policy. Every group
within the firm has a representative who helps and supports all of the employees
in engaging in any corporate and social responsibility activity they’d like
to do. The firm also allocates six days a year for employees to do that work.
Personally an option available to me would be that I might be helping to develop
a website that promotes awareness of a rare skin disorder.
