Yorkshire Comes Up Trumps

On 7 September the Yorkshire Velo that was jointly organised by BDO and Appleyard Lees took place. Although this was a joint event, it ran true to the principles of BDOVELO in that 70 business people experienced a fabulous business networking experience and time on the bike. After coffee and croissants at Utopia, Broughton Hall, the group enjoyed a superb 55 mile tour of some of the most beautiful areas of the Yorkshire Dales.

Expert ride leaders and Madison Genesis riders, Tobyn Horton and Neil Van der Ploeg, hosted groups of all abilities to ensure everyone enjoyed the cycling, even up the challenging climbs of Malham Cove and Netherghyll Lane.

A much needed mid-ride fuel station and a buffet lunch at the end of the ride back at Utopia ensured everyone was well fed and had plenty of energy for both the cycling and furious business networking that took place.

And if that wasn’t enough, even the weather was kind to us and we can’t wait to do it all again in 2019.
