Acquisition of Emrose Insurance Brokers by Specialist Risk Group

BDO has provided financial due diligence to Specialist Risk Group on the acquisition of Emrose Insurance Brokers.

Specialist Risk Group (‘SRG’) has agreed to acquire Emrose Insurance Brokers, subject to regulatory approval. Emrose is a specialist insurance broker focussing on the passenger transportation sector, with a particular expertise in London Taxis.

The acquisition of Emrose is SRG’s fifth acquisition of 2021, following the acquisitions of KBIS British Equestrian Insurance, GB Underwriting, The Channel Partnership and CLS Risk Solutions. Emrose will join SRG’s rapidly growing Retail division, SRIS, and will add to its specialist capabilities. 

SRG announced HGGC as its new majority shareholder in December 2020.
