Wonderbly is a digital, direct-to-consumer publisher and the world’s leading on-demand publishing platform for personalised children’s books. Wonderbly has sold over six million books in more than 150 countries. The Company sold more than one million books in 2020 and, in May this year, won ‘Children’s Publisher of the Year’ at the British Book Awards.
The business has developed proprietary software that enables it to render personalised images and manage orders from customers across the world with short delivery times. This is complemented by a worldwide network of on-demand printers, creating a scalable global model with no inventory.
Wonderbly was founded by Asi Sharabi, David Cadji-Newby, Tal Oron and Pedro Serapicos in 2012 under a different name – Lost My Name, a nod to the Company’s original title which has gone on to sell over four million copies worldwide. The Company received early backing from Dragon’s Den, the high profile TV programme, and subsequently received funding from a range of high-profile US and European VC investors including; Google Ventures, Greycroft Partners and Project A Ventures.
The sale to Graphite Capital is an exciting new chapter for Wonderbly and will help to accelerate the Company's impressive growth. The transaction will also enhance the roll-out of Wonderbly’s technology to develop and market personalised products for blue-chip third-party clients, including Warner Bros. and Universal.
