IPO of Longboat Energy plc

Longboat Energy has been established by the former Faroe Petroleum management team to fast track the creation of a new mid cap independent oil and gas. The company is an "investing company" for the purposes of the AIM Rules for Companies. 

The company believes that, following a wave of acquisitions in the oil and gas sector since the fall in global oil prices in 2014, acquiring companies will look to rationalise portfolios and dispose of non-core assets, enabling companies such as Longboat Energy to unlock intrinsic value.
