ASL is one of the premier experiential leisure operators in the UK centred around food, drink and bowling

Financial performance was adversely affected by the disposal of a core site in 2018. A replacement site was opened and has taken time to perform whilst the site established itself. This resulted in cash flow difficulties and a requirement for additional funding and a supportive shareholder to implement a bottom up operational restructuring plan which was mid-implementation.

BDO’s Special Situations M&A Team was introduced to run an accelerated M&A process.

Following an extensive sales process BDO delivered a pre-packaged sale to leisure sector specialist Risk Capital as part of its investment roll-up in the sector.
