Expert determination (ED) is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), offering a different way of resolving a dispute to the normal method of resorting to a court or arbitration tribunal. It can be a highly effective, speedy and cost-efficient way of resolving disputes of a technical nature by an expert in that technical field.
