2019 Mid-year Test & Measurement sector review
In the latest edition of our Test & Measurement publication we report on a boom in UK deals, as both buyers and sellers ramp up M&A. The rise in activity sees the UK grow its share of global transactions to a remarkable 34%, underlining the strong fundamentals of the T&M market in spite of Brexit.
Business leaders remain focused on digital transformation and automated solutions are examples of key areas where businesses are using M&A to reshape for the future.
2019 Annual Test & Measurement sector review
Following three years of double-digit growth in deal volumes in the Test & Measurement sector, 2018 saw volumes sustained at record-breaking levels.
North America continued its impressive growth trajectory, contributing 20% increase in deals in the year, while transaction volumes in UK and Europe retained their strength.
A stand out feature in the last year has been the tremendous increase in private equity investment flowing into the T&M market. 2018 saw an 84% increase in deals backed by private equity investors compared with 2017.
Looking ahead, there are signs of stronger headwinds for 2019, but long-term market fundamentals are robust. While there may be some market challenges ahead, our experience as the no.1 UK M&A adviser in 2018* leads us to retain a positive outlook for deal flow in the T&M market.
