The BDO Birmingham Transaction Services team recently provided cross-border Financial and Tax due diligence services to the Melitta Group (“Melitta”) in connection with their acquisition of Wrap Film Holdings Limited (“Wrap Film”), transacted via subsidiary Cofresco Frischhalteprodukte GmbH & Co. KG (“Cofresco”).
Wrap Film, headquartered in Telford, Shropshire, is a market leading supplier of aluminum and cling film products in both retail and food and catering markets, on a white label basis as well as via brands including Bacofoil, Wrapmaster and Caterwrap. Melitta, a family-run international company based in Germany, is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of brand name products for coffee consumption, storage and preparation of food stuffs, and household cleaning. The acquisition via Cofresco strengthens its market leading position in the area of aluminum foil and cling film as well as providing entry to the UK market.
