BDO appoints a new advisory partner

Jonathan Rowan joins BDO to lead the firm’s commercial due diligence offering in the technology, media and telecoms sector (TMT). Jonathan has over 20 years of experience working in the TMT sector and has spent time working across various areas of M&A including strategy and consulting.

At BDO, Jonathan will also utilise his experience of working with private equity backed businesses and support transactions on both buy and sell side. He joins the firm from telecoms and technology firm Neos Networks and will be based in London.

Commenting on his appointment, Jonathan says:

“Despite the uncertainty and disruption brought on by the pandemic, the M&A market has proved incredibly resilient, bouncing back to pre-pandemic levels relatively quickly in terms of deal volume.

“Private equity houses in particular have shown a real appetite for investment, with the technology sector a clear focus area due to the high levels of growth over the last few years.

“BDO is a market leader in advising high-growth, entrepreneurially spirited businesses and I am delighted to have the opportunity to support these ambitious clients to help them succeed.”

Paul Eagland, Managing Partner at BDO, commented:

“Jonathan’s appointment further demonstrates our commitment to growing the expertise of our business. His experience of working both within professional services and within the technology sector gives him a deep understanding of the issues our clients are facing. His knowledge and expertise are a welcome addition to BDO’s growing advisory practice.”

Since January, BDO has appointed 23 external and 46 internal individuals as partner.
