Our Mergers & Acquisitions team advised the selling shareholders of Alliance in Partnership Limited (“AiP”) on the £11m management buyout backed by private equity house Key Capital Partners. With more than 800 employees, AiP is a market leader in the provision of high quality and nutritious cooked school meals to primary, secondary, academy and specialist schools within the state and independent school sectors. Headquartered in Oldbury, AiP feeds more than 35,000 school pupils a day across central England and west London. Management intend to expand AiP’s contract portfolio and exploit the recent universal introduction by the Department of Education of free school meals for all pupils in key stage one.
