Our Mergers & Acquisitions team advised Network Rail on its recent sale of Network Rail (NDS Plant) Limited to TMX Plant Holdings Limited, part of The Ombros Group. NDS Plant is a market leader in the provision of road-rail vehicles and operators to the UK rail market and a key supplier to Network Rail. Network Rail acquired the business from administration as a temporary measure following the failure of its Bristol-based parent company, Hydrex Equipment (UK) Limited in November 2011. The successful sale, after such a short period of ownership by Network Rail, safeguards hundreds of jobs and will allow essential rail maintenance, enhancement and renewal programmes across the rail network to continue without disruption.
