BDO Chooses its Next Senior Partner
BDO LLP has today announced that Mark Bomer will become its new senior partner, taking over from Simon Bevan, who has recently retired from the firm.
This announcement follows a formal election process held during June 2011.
Mark is currently a corporate finance partner in our London office, where he specialises in providing financial due diligence services to private equity houses and on international M&A transactions. He has been with BDO for 25 years, joining in London in 1986. In 1991, he moved to Paris to set up the corporate finance practise in our French office and spent ten years there, before returning to London in 2001. He was promoted to partner in Paris in 1994.
Mark will continue to retain a client facing role and, as senior partner, particularly intends to spend time in the market, in support of the firm’s growth over the coming years. Mark has a strongly international outlook and expects to contribute to building the international strength of BDO.
Simon Bevan joined BDO in 1981 and was made a Partner in 1988. He worked with some of the firm’s highest-profile clients, was involved in the firm's management and was the Chair of its Audit Committee.
Simon Michaels, managing partner, BDO LLP commented: “I am delighted to announce Mark Bomer’s appointment as senior partner. He has already made a considerable contribution to BDO’s success over the years and I look forward to working with him in the next exciting phase of BDO’s development.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Simon Bevan for all his hard work, dedication and considerable contribution to BDO over many years.”
