Client nameAberdeen Group plc
Our FS transactions team provided financial, tax and regulatory vendor due diligence for Aberdeen to support the agreed sale of its financial planning business, Aberdeen Financial Planning, to Ascot Lloyd.

Aberdeen Financial Planning was set up as part of Standard Life plc in 2015 and was subsequently built up through a series of acquisitions. The transaction includes 6,300 clients, £3.6bn of assets under advice and over 60 advisers.

“It was a great pleasure to work with the Aberdeen team on this transaction and with all the other advisers involved. It comes during a busy year for our growing FS transactions business and demonstrates the continued appetite for M&A in the financial planning sector, where we have been heavily involved. We wish the Ascot Lloyd team the very best helping the business thrive under their ownership.”
