I am a Tax Director with over 15 years’ experience of advising businesses and organisations with a significant global footprint on their Indirect Tax issues. I pride myself on providing proactive, commercial advice to clients, helping them to mitigate risk and identify opportunities to improve VAT efficiency. I also lead the development and delivery of BDO’s Indirect Tax technology systems and solutions nationally, and support BDO’s global Indirect Tax compliance services.
I assist my clients with meeting their VAT compliance and reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions, as well as providing VAT advice on a wide range of issues. In particular, I specialise in co-ordinating and advising on multinational projects, implementing technology to streamline Indirect Tax compliance processes, and analysing international supply chains.
I work with businesses across sectors, including technology, life sciences, manufacturing, and retail. I am also a member of BDO’s Not for Profit team, and regularly advise housing associations, charities and universities on their VAT affairs. I was previously employed as a VAT inspector at HM Customs & Excise and in a technology transformation role before joining a Big 4 firm.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling overseas and experiencing the diversity of different cultures around the globe. My travels have taken me to USA, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong and many countries in Europe.
