Global Employer Services

Executive summary

I am a Tax Director at BDO, working in the Global Employer Services team with a specialism in expatriate taxes and the management of corporate global mobility programmes.

I work with clients of all sizes on global mobility management challenges including but not limited to assignment planning and structuring, assignee income tax, social security implications and payroll advisory. In addition to this I provide advice to clients regarding business traveller compliance and international remote working management including the use of traveller tracking technology solutions.

I work predominantly as a specialist in the Professional Services sector but have experience of all sectors across my 19 years in the tax industry.

I am proud of the many long-standing client relationships that I have, some going back to my first days with BDO in 2008 and the contribution I have played along with my team to the success of client global mobility programmes across that period working with client assignees ranging from graduates going on their first rotation to senior executives who may be moving for the first time or have moved constantly over their working careers.

As a long-standing member of the BDO International Centre of Excellence for Global Employer Services I am continuously learning about topical updates that impact our clients. I am the curator of our monthly GES News publication providing global updates on matters impacting employers and regularly present at internal and external conferences and webinars. I am also a Fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians.

Wellbeing and having the right work-life balance is increasingly important to myself, our team and our clients. I am a football fan and my spare time is spent standing on the sidelines in all weather conditions watching as my children learn to play the game. My own playing days are now a memory but I do find watching the boys play a great way to recharge and prepare for the new week.
