Nearest train station is Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon (approx. 2 miles away) and 40 mins from London Waterloo.
Ride Information: You will be embarking on an unsupported ride, road cycle of approximately 40 miles with 500m of climbing and descending. We will split in to 2 groups lead by British Cycling qualified ride leaders who will ensure that each group rides at a comfortable pace for everyone and no one gets left behind. Average speeds 20km/h and 25km/h. If possible, we will stop mid ride for a coffee/refill of water bottles.
There will be no support vehicle so you will need to bring along any spares and tools that you may need for your bike in case of any mechanical incidents (i.e. spare tubes, multi-tools and pumps).
Route: We will share a gpx file with all attendees in advance of the ride event.

We are pleased to share details of the BDOVELO Chiltern Hills ride designed for a social and enjoyable day in the saddle across one of the UK’s best cycling regions.
Event Details
Venue: The Walled Garden, Chorley Road, West Wycombe, HP14 3AP The Walled Garden
The nearest train stations are Saunderton (approximately 2.5 miles away) and High Wycombe (3.2 miles away). Both are on the Chiltern Line from London Marylebone (approximately 30 to 40 mins
Paid parking is available next to the Walled Garden.
Ride Information: You will be taking part in an unsupported road ride of approximately 45 miles with 750m of climbing. We will split in to 2 groups, led by British Cycling qualified ride leaders. Each group will ride at a comfortable pace, ensuring no one gets left behind. Group one - average speed 20km/h and Group 2 average speed 25km/h. We expect to stop mid ride for coffee and to refill water bottles, where possible.
As there is no support vehicle, you must bring along any spares and tools required for your bike in case of mechanical issues (e.g. spare tubes, multi-tool, pump). Helmets are also mandatory for participation in this ride.
Route: We will start from The Walled Garden in West Wycombe. West Wycombe is a historic village, largely owned by the National Trust, and home to West Wycombe Park (the Dashwood family), the Hellfire Caves, and the Mausoleum on top of West Wycombe Hill. From there, the route heads into the Chiltern Hills via Radnage, before descending Chinnor Hill. The route is flat for a while heading through Sydenham, Cuxham and Ewelme. The route then follows a gradual climb up to Nuffield before heading to Nettlebed, where we will stop for refreshments. We will then return towards West Wycombe via Turville and surrounding villages, taking in a number of climbs and descents along the way.

Round The Island – Isle of Wight - Saturday 18 July 2026
We are pleased to share details of the BDOVELO Round the Island Event for 2026 - a fantastic day out exploring the countryside, towns, villages and coastline of the Isle of Wight.
Event Details
Meeting Point: Wightlink Portsmouth Car Ferry Terminal, Gunwharf Road, Portsmouth, PO1 2LA. There is car parking on site if you will be arriving by car.
We will take the Wightlink Passenger Ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and return in the late afternoon/early evening.

The return cost for the ferry as a foot passenger with a bike is £28.80. Please book your own tickets at Wightlink | Isle of Wight ferries - Wightlink Ferries selecting a Portsmouth to Fishbourne day return with a bike.
The nearest station is Portsmouth Harbour which is accessible from London Waterloo/Clapham Junction etc.
Ride Information: We will follow the Round the Island route. The full route is approximately 115km with 1,400m of climbing across undulating terrain. Groups will ride at a comfortable pace. No one will be left behind and we will include planned stops for coffee and lunch while keeping to the return ferry timing.
A support vehicle will carry spare kit and provide refreshments during the ride. However, you must bring your own essential spares and tools (e.g. spare tubes, multi-tool, pump). Helmets are also mandatory.
Route: From Fishbourne we will ride clockwise on quiet country lanes, taking in the island’s coastline, countryside and chalk faced cliffs. We will stop for coffee mid-morning before heading South for lunch at the Wight Mouse Inn in Chale. After lunch, we will continue West towards Freshwater and Yarmouth before heading inland through country lanes to Cowes. We will then take the chain ferry to East Cowes and return to Fishbourne for the ferry back.
