BDO performed financial due diligence for Kings Park Capital on its acquisition of a majority stake in Fuel Juice Bars (Fuel). Fuel operates nine fruit juice and smoothie bars in large shopping centres in England and Scotland. The company was founded in 2006, with one kiosk in Reading and has achieved strong organic growth through a difficult period for the retail sector. Fuel benefits both from consumer trends towards healthy eating and drinking and from the shift of consumers away from the high street to shopping malls. Fuel provides landlords with an alternative food and beverage offering, being able to set up kiosk units in small unused spaces within shopping centres.
