Helping NHS organisations meet their critical challenges
Like all great organisations, the NHS faces relentless challenge and continual scrutiny, both publicly and politically, as it wrestles with a number of pressures. We believe the keys challenges include:
- The need to raise quality, particularly in the light of the Francis report;
- The consistent increase and changing demand from an ageing UK population;
- The requirement to do more with limited increase in resources; and
- The need to respond to the many new initiatives, reform agendas and regulatory changes that are constantly influencing the healthcare sector.
The BDO Healthcare Advisory team work with providers in tertiary, secondary, community, primary and private healthcare settings across acute, mental and community care. We also work with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and commissioning support suppliers providing innovative and exciting solutions to help NHS and private sector organisations improve performance, quality and clinical outcomes.
We work with a number of clients on implementing the ‘Five Year Forward View’, including some of the leading Vanguard sites. We provide commissioning support through the eMBED Consortium on the Lead Provider Framework. Clients rely on us to deliver effective system transformation to whole health economies and strategy, performance improvement and governance advice to individual trusts and CCGs.
The BDO Healthcare Advisory practice consists of a core team of specialists supported by a diverse associate network. Our core team includes energetic and experienced professionals with NHS backgrounds in operational management, finance, procurement, policy development, nursing, acute medicine and surgery, HR and general practice.
