BDO announces two new partners - Geeta Joshi and Bernd Kremp

Geeta Joshi joins BDO as an audit partner in the firm’s financial services team. She has over 20 years’ experience in public practice with extensive audit and assurance experience serving the financial services sector. She has previously specialised in auditing and advising on changes to financial and regulatory reporting in the insurance industry. Her expertise includes IFRS 17 changes, solvency II, due diligence, transaction accounting and financial reporting. Her role at BDO will see Geeta specialise in insurance sector and continue her focus on IFRS 17, life insurers and audit quality.

Bernd Kremp joins as a partner in the BDO’s technical standards group (TSG). His previous roles have seen him focus on technical accounting with a focus on IFRS. Bernd’s experience is wide-ranging and includes advising and supporting teams around complex technical accounting issues and preparing and performing financial reporting training. Bernd also specialises in writing materials on financial reporting matters and technical reviews of annual reports of FTSE 350 and SEC registered companies to ensure overall compliance with IFRS and company act requirements, as well as best practice financial reporting. His role at BDO will see him continue this focus on financial reporting.

Geeta and Bernd will be based in London.
