BDO names new Head of Natural Resources & Energy

Matt Crane announced as BDO’s UK Head of Natural Resources & Energy 

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has appointed Matt Crane as its new national Head of Natural Resources & Energy.

Matt, who started as a senior audit manager in the firm’s Sydney Office in 2008, has been a partner in the UK since 2018.

He takes the reins from Louise Sayers, who is stepping aside after four years in the role.

Matt will be based out of BDO’s London office and will lead more than 120 UK partners and employees in the Natural Resources & Energy team.

With more than 15 years' experience dealing with companies across oil and gas, mining, renewables and agribusiness sectors, Matt will continue to work with businesses locally and globally. 

He will also serve as a member of the firm’s Natural Resources Global Steering Committee, which supports dedicated natural resource specialists across BDO’s international network of 164 offices.
Commenting on his appointment, Matt said:
