BDO names a trio of new sector heads
Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has named three new sector leadership appointments across its UK and Ireland operations.
Ece Akser has been appointed BDO’s Head of Manufacturing, Gurpreet Dulay as Head of Public Sector and Teresa Morahan as Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
Ece is a London Tax Partner with an MEng and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. She began her career as a senior scientist at Procter & Gamble developing new products, materials and manufacturing technologies. Ece will be responsible for further developing the firm’s manufacturing sector expertise, working closely with clients as well as BDO’s global manufacturing network.
Gurpreet Dulay is a Risk Advisory Services Partner in BDO’s Birmingham office. Over the last decade with BDO, he has brought extensive public sector expertise to its risk advisory services offering, spanning healthcare, local government, policing and sport. In his role as National Head of Public Sector, Gurpreet will shape BDO public sector growth strategy.
Teresa Morahan is an Audit Partner in BDO Ireland and has been the Head of Global Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) since 2022. With almost 30 years’ experience at BDO, Teresa has supported clients across the technology, telecoms, pharmaceutical and medtech sectors. Teresa will leverage her deep understanding of both UK and Irish markets to strengthen BDO’s offering.
