I advise trustees and employers of defined benefit pension schemes on all aspects of employer covenant risk. I'm also a licensed insolvency practitioner, specialising in helping stakeholders navigate distress situations involving pension schemes. I'm a former chair of the Employer Covenant Practitioners' Association.

My clients range from SMEs to FTSE 100 companies across a wide range of sectors. I work closely with the Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund, bringing nearly 30 years of combined credit advisory, restructuring and pensions experience to every engagement.

I recently helped the trustees of a pension scheme sponsored by an employer within a large FTSE 250 group. The employer was being sold, but the acquirer wanted no liability for the scheme. We helped the trustees agree how the scheme could be apportioned to another group company, providing long-term security for members' benefits while enabling the transaction to proceed.

Outside of work, I'm a keen cyclist who enjoys tackling the local hills and playing guitar.
