Anthony Appleton

I'm a Partner in the Audit Quality Department, supporting colleagues in maintaining and improving the quality of corporate reporting for our audited entities with a focus on listed companies. Before joining the firm, I oversaw the development of UK Financial Reporting Standards at the FRC, where I led work on influencing the development and endorsement of IFRS and narrative reporting policy including the guidance on the strategic report.

I'm an expert in financial reporting, both IFRS and UK GAAP. I share that knowledge through regular financial reporting webinars and supporting our audit training. I'm a member of the ICAEW Council, Chair of its Corporate Reporting Faculty Board and a member of its Financial Reporting Committee. I’m also a member of the IFRS Foundation’s Advisory Council.
