Caroline Hulmston

I am a Director in our Natural Resources, Energy and Shipping team and lead our UK Energy & Renewables practice. I work with investors, developers and operators across the energy transition, helping them navigate audit, reporting and business challenges in a fast-changing market. People come to me for sector insight, practical advice and an understanding of the commercial factors that drive investment and growth.

I support organisations across a broad range of energy technologies, including onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery energy storage, biomass and energy-from-waste. My clients range from infrastructure funds to listed and privately owned businesses. Having spent 22 years in the profession, including 19 years with the firm, I bring experience gained across multiple sectors and international markets, working regularly with colleagues and clients across Europe, China, Japan and the US.

A typical engagement involves supporting businesses through periods of growth and change, helping management teams, investors and stakeholders address reporting requirements while navigating the opportunities and challenges of the energy transition. By combining sector knowledge with a collaborative approach, I help organisations make informed decisions with confidence.

Alongside my client work, I lead our High Performing Teams agenda for the sector. I believe exceptional client service starts with engaged, accountable and collaborative teams. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching my son play sport, cycling through the Chilterns and attempting to make drinkable wine.
