Debbie Knowles

I am a Tax Partner at BDO specialising in business taxation, working with a wide range of clients predominantly in the Professional Services industry. The majority of my clients are owner-managed businesses and my role is to help them navigate the ever-increasing complexity of the tax landscape, providing them with practical tax advice that is tailored to their needs.

The tax world is constantly changing as well, so I advise corporates and partnership clients on current tax matters as well as helping them to plan a successful future for their business. I particularly enjoy working with clients in their start-up phase – there is great variety in the work and it's a really dynamic environment for growth and learning.

Alongside my client work I'm committed to supporting the development of the wider team at BDO. I've had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented people throughout my career and I'm constantly looking out for ways to provide those opportunities to others in the team.

Outside of work I love live music and I attend a pretty eclectic mix of concerts and shows throughout the year. I also enjoy spending time with my family and exercising outdoors, which I've found is the best way to relax and recharge mentally.
