Jon Claypole

I have over 30 years' experience of tax disputes gained from working both in HMRC and in the profession. I left HMRC in 2001 where I was a senior Inspector of Taxes conducting complex technical enquiries into multinational groups and detailed investigations into entrepreneurs and their business interests.

I then joined a Big Four firm as a Senior Manager handling investigations into some of the firm's biggest corporate clients. I later became National Head of Tax Investigations at another top-tier firm, building the practice to be market-leading across London, Birmingham and Manchester. In October 2024 I was appointed Head of our National Tax Dispute Resolution team.
