Kevin Voller

I am a Tax Partner with over 25 years’ experience of advising clients, primarily owner managed businesses. I lead the innovation tax team for BDO South East specialising in Research & Development (R&D) credits and allowances, innovation and growth grants, intellectual property and creative sector tax credits. These incentives are important as they can deliver both significant tax savings and in many cases cash repayments from HMRC. 

I advise entrepreneurs and owner managers from start-up to scale-up and large private companies. My approach is to work alongside clients, providing proactive support through each stage of the lifecycle of their business on a wide range of issues, including tax compliance, restructuring, transactions, share schemes, capital allowances, succession planning and R&D tax reliefs, introducing and working with specialist colleagues as appropriate. 

Due to the diverse nature of my portfolio I have gained a broad range of commercial experience in many sectors, including technology, property, construction and manufacturing which allows me to take a pragmatic approach in providing advice for clients’ current and future plans. 

I enjoy most sports and I am a big cricket fan. My playing days are past, so these days I am a keen social member of my local club. I enjoy the outdoors, plenty of walking, gardening and growing my own vegetables.
