I have a passion for working with businesses that are dealing with financial and cash flow issues and enjoy working with management teams to help them to overcome those challenges. My focus is always upon preserving the solvency of a company and for presenting the range of options that may be available. I enjoy the job satisfaction of seeing a client overcome financial distress and of being part of the solution to the issues that it was facing. My typical client will range in size from between £5 million to £250 million of revenue across a number of sectors. Typically, this will include considering available options, supporting the client in improving the quality of its management information and assisting the client in preparing robust financial forecasts.
I am well connected with the lending community and often receive introductions to stressed companies from their lender. I understand the concerns that a lender may have by assisting my clients in managing the stakeholder management and, where appropriate, make introductions to alternative lenders.
I sometimes need to deal with insolvency scenarios and have been taking insolvency appointments for over a decade. Notably Norton Motorcycles and All-Star Leisure, both of which resulted in the secured lender being repaid in full and distributions being available for the unsecured creditors.
I lead the Business Restructuring team’s sector offerings for both Construction and Professional Sports.
