Matt Hopkins

I am a Partner in Financial Services and Fintech sector lead. I am the founder of BDO's EMEA Fintech Strategy group, and sit on the Fintech steering committee for BDO Global.

I work with financial services businesses from newly regulated to systemic and lead a number of international audit engagements with particular focus on global digital financial services. I work with a number of disruptive financial services businesses across the Fintech landscape including digital assets, payments, and digital banks including those that are building their capabilities, systems and controls in advance of an IPO (US & UK) or other exit strategy.

I have over 20 years of experience in financial markets, and am experienced in IFRS and UK GAAP, and as well as international and PCAOB auditing standards.
