Matthew Gibson

I lead the Pensions Covenant Advisory team, advising trustees, sponsors, government and regulators on valuations, transactions, restructuring and regulatory matters.

I have extensive experience working in restructuring, corporate finance and forensic services in the UK, South Africa and Belgium. I take insolvency appointments for pensions-related restructuring events and have been seconded to the Pension Protection Fund. I'm also a pension trustee of the BDO ES Pension Scheme.

That breadth of experience across restructuring, corporate finance and pensions allows me to provide integrated advice at the intersection of covenant strength, funding and regulatory requirements.
