Paul McKeown, Director

Paul is the lead director of valuations in the Midlands and the North with over 30 years of dedicated experience. Paul specialises in both contentious and non-contentious valuations, including complex business or share structures for commercial, matrimonial, litigation, regulatory and tax purposes. He has advised on over 1,000 commercial valuations in almost all market sectors and has extensive experience of valuations of IP, unquoted shares, businesses and investments. He has received Stock Exchange accreditation for valuations under the City Code and is a member of the Valuation Special Interest Group of the ICAEW and The Society of Share and Business Valuers. Paul has also reported as expert on many occasions and has given evidence in the High Court. Paul’s experience includes:

  • Single joint and party expert appointments for the purpose of company, share and investment valuations in contentious matters
  • Valuation of IP, brands and other intangibles for commercial purposes, purchase price allocation (IFRS 3 and ASC 805), and pension issues
  • Valuation of shares, companies and intangible assets for UK tax purposes
  • Valuations of “growth shares”, management participation shares and private equity interests for UK tax
  • Court appointed single joint expert valuations for shareholder disputes
  • Various share and business valuations for group reorganisations, and pre-acquisition or merger valuations
