Rachel Brittain

I'm part of the Public Sector Assurance (PSA) team based in Baker Street, London, delivering audit and assurance services to entities across Local Government and the National Health Service. With over 20 years' experience as a public sector external auditor, I have a detailed understanding of the issues, challenges, and opportunities faced by the public sector.

As a key audit partner licensed by ICAEW, I am authorised to sign external audit opinions on public sector financial statements. I also have extensive experience in value for money audits, responding to local electors' questions and objections, and grant certification work, including the Housing Benefit Assurance Process.

I'm passionate about people development and committed to helping individuals achieve their objectives and career goals, which aligns well with my role as People Leader for the PSA team.

I lead on value for money and participate in the National Audit Office working group, contributing to the development of a consistent, high-quality approach across the public sector. This enables me to share relevant knowledge and expertise to benefit our audited entities.

Outside of work, you'll often find me outdoors, supporting my son's grassroots football team, walking our dog, or sitting in the garden reading.
