Since 2014 I have focused on advising clients in corporate simplification, corporate streamlining, exit planning, solvent liquidations, and other capital extraction solutions, delivering high quality technical and commercial solutions to address challenging restructuring problems. My experience covers quoted and private entities located both in the UK, offshore and overseas including Chinese, Japanese, European and US controlled groups.
My specialist areas include members’ voluntary liquidations, group simplification for UK and International groups, corporate reorganisations and reconstructions and wind down planning and closure support. I enjoy creative thinking around technical problems and working across disciplines to find workable solutions.
As well as corporate simplification I have experience of business reviews, formal insolvency appointments and distressed exit projects having carried out assignments across a variety of sectors including financial services, real estate, energy, mining and renewables, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, shipping, hospitality and leisure, retail and technology, education and NFP.
I completed a secondment to the business restructuring unit of a UK clearing bank where I worked alongside relationship managers to develop and implement lending and recovery strategies for underperforming customers in the SME market. I returned later to complete a second secondment with the corporate restructuring unit where I managed syndicated positions.
I am a licenced appointment taking insolvency practitioner, chartered accountant, fellow of the ICAEW and member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (known as R3).
