I have more than 35 years' experience in corporate tax and specialise in helping businesses claim R&D Tax Credits and Patent Box Tax Relief. I lead our R&D Tax services in the North West of England and Scotland and have helped hundreds of clients claim R&D Tax Credits and Patent Box over the years.

I'm a member of the RDCF (Research and Development Communication Forum), which helps HMRC formulate policy on R&D. I've been involved in a number of joint presentations on R&D with HMRC, giving me a direct line of sight into how the relief is applied in practice.

Having been with the firm for over 17 years, I've advised family-owned, AIM and FTSE listed companies across Technology, Food and Drink, Construction, Nuclear and Retail.
