Manufacturing a new future
Coventry and Warwickshire is an area synonymous with manufacturing, specifically in the automotive industry, the first British car was built here 120 years ago.
This year will see the opening of what is expected to be, Europe’s largest auto industry research and development facility, the National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC), at the University of Warwick.
The Centre is a shining example of how Coventry and Warwickshire is building a new future to build on the region’s proud manufacturing heritage, not just in the automotive space but across various sectors. The sector’s regional leaders realise that manufacturing success today is bits and bytes as well as nuts and bolts.
