BDO advised BGF on its investment in Monkfield Reptile, supporting the transaction through a combination of commercial and financial buy-side advisory services.

A key element of our role was supporting BGF's assessment of the investment case and long-term exit potential. We prepared investment committee materials and a detailed exit strategy paper, covering potential exit routes, buyer universe analysis, valuation considerations, key value drivers and buy-and-build opportunities.

Alongside this, we provided financial transaction support through a review of the locked box mechanism, including analysis of net debt, working capital and potential value leakage items.

Our support helped BGF develop conviction in both the investment opportunity and the route to future value creation.
