BDO provided a full suite of transaction and integration services across M&A, Financial and Tax Due Diligence, Value Creation Services and Tax Structuring.
Collectively, the three businesses have more than 120 years of experience in packaging consultancy, machinery, consumables and operational support. While each company has grown independently, the merger formalises a long-standing alignment in values and approach.
The combined business unites Hazel 4D’s strategic consultancy expertise with the operational strength and supply capability of Acopia’s transit packaging division and Kwikpac. Hazel 4D and Kwikpac have built their reputations on a consultancy-led approach, focused on developing practical packaging solutions rather than simply supplying products. As a result of the deal, the group is ideally positioned to support customers seeking consistency across multiple sites.
The merger addresses the way the packaging market is evolving. Larger, multi-site operations increasingly require broader capability, stronger geographic reach and deeper technical support. By bringing their complementary strengths together, the businesses are creating a more integrated structure designed to support customers operating at scale.
Hazel 4D was founded by Garth Christie in 1979 and is headquartered in Leeds. The business has grown from its origins in packaging consumables into a leading provider of packaging consultancy services, machinery and innovative solutions for some of the world’s most recognised brands. The business leverages more than four decades of expertise to help customers optimise product protection, load stability and sustainability, delivering smarter, more efficient packaging performance across its operations.
Acopia was founded in 1976 and headquartered in Bognor Regis. The company has evolved from its origins as a family‑run packaging supplier into a leading provider of sustainable packaging, consumables and operational solutions for organisations across the UK, Europe and the United States. The business helps customers reduce waste, optimise processes and make informed, environmentally responsible product decisions through innovative packaging technologies and a highly service‑led approach.
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Kirkcaldy, Kwikpac has grown from its origins serving the UK stretch‑film and packaging market into a trusted specialist providing high‑quality packaging products, strapping, stretch film and machinery to diverse industries. The business combines technical expertise with on‑site consultancy, sustainable solutions and a commitment to efficiency, helping customers build cost‑effective, reliable and high‑performance end‑of‑line packaging processes.
