What is AIM?
AIM is the London Stock Exchange’s international market for smaller growing companies. It was established in 1995 to cater for new and growing businesses seeking the benefits of a public quotation along with a flexible regulatory approach. It has since become the most successful growth market of its type in the world.
There are currently over 1,000 companies listed on AIM and since its inception there have been over 3,500 admissions. Approximately a third of the companies listed operate mainly or completely overseas, so it has been an international success.
