NADA 2021 Review

23 February 2021

Following the recent conference of the 2021 National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), our summary of some of the key insights from this year’s event is now available.

In light of the ongoing pandemic the conference still went ahead but in virtual format. Despite this, they were still able to put on a significant amount of seminars covering the usual areas such as vehicle sales, after sales, digital and human resources.

What was clear from these was that, like the UK motor retail industry, the US rebounded very strongly since Spring 2020 and like the UK, dealers have adapted well to the new way of working and interacting with the customers.

In the US they are forecasting increased M&A activity in 2021 and this is in line with what we reported in our recently released Motor 150 report.

If you have any questions about any of the issues covered or would like to discuss any of the points raised, please contact Malcolm Thixton or Steve Le Bas or your usual BDO adviser.
