BDO advises ARRI Rental Group on its sale to H2 Equity Partners

BDO's M&A team advised the management team of ARRI Rental, a leading global provider of premium camera, lighting, grip and production equipment rental services to the film and television industry, on its sale to H2 Equity Partners.

The deal involved the successful acquisition of the global ARRI Rental Group from ARRI AG, creating an independent platform under new ownership with H2 Equity Partners, a leading private equity investor focused on supporting mid-sized businesses through operational improvement and sustainable growth.

The transaction marks an important milestone for ARRI Rental Group and positions the business for the next phase of its development. Under H2 Equity Partners’ ownership, the business will continue investing in its rental fleet, expand its international footprint and further strengthen its position as one of the most respected providers of production equipment and technical services to the global film and television industry.

BDO was initially engaged by the management team of ARRI Rental Services UK to evaluate and pursue an acquisition opportunity. BDO acted as lead M&A adviser on the transaction, managing a competitive process, coordinating multiple international stakeholders and guiding the transaction through extensive diligence, carve-out and regulatory workstreams to completion.

The deal was led by Duncan Lamb at BDO with support from Will Daniels, Marcus Harrison, Sarah Pereira and Theo Wilkie.

Duncan Lamb, Partner, BDO M&A said: “This was a highly complex international transaction involving multiple jurisdictions, carve-out considerations and numerous stakeholders. We are delighted to have supported the ARRI Rental management team throughout the process and to have secured a successful outcome with H2 Equity Partners. H2’s collaborative approach, investment expertise and experience supporting carve-outs make them an excellent partner for the business as it enters its next phase of growth.”

Dana Harrison, Managing Director, ARRI Rental Services UK Limited said:
