Gemma Flanagan

I am a Partner in the valuations team, providing valuation advice to private and public companies, with a particular focus on supporting private equity houses and their portfolio companies.

Working across a range of industries, with entities where transactions are often a fundamental part of the business strategy, I work collaboratively with my clients to provide valuation support at all stages of the company or PE house life cycle. I specialise in providing valuations for tax purposes, as well as for financial reporting and commercial purposes, including portfolio valuations for private equity firms.

Prior to joining the valuations team, I was a senior audit manager in the BDO Consumer Markets team, where I worked with clients from privately owned entrepreneurial businesses to portfolio companies and multi-national groups, primarily operating in the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors.

Drawing on over 20 years’ experience within BDO, my approach is to build strong and long-standing relationships with my clients, offering insightful and expert advice.

Outside of work, I embrace the opportunity to spend time with my husband and two children and to unwind through exercise, particularly yoga, swimming and modern jive dancing.

I am a Fellow of the ICAEW.
