Gordon Carstairs

Gordon is a Deal Advisory Partner at BDO specialising in M&A Advisory to mid-market businesses and Private Equity. Gordon joined BDO Edinburgh in 2016 before transferring to the London TMT M&A team in 2018.

Gordon specialises in the TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications) sector and has particular experience working with businesses across digital transformation, enterprise software and the ICT channel. He typically works with owner managed and Private Equity backed businesses acting as sell side advisor on transactions in the mid-market and lower mid-market.

In addition to his sector focus, he specialises in working with UK Private Equity (PE), this experience includes; selling businesses into PE, selling PE portfolio businesses, selling into PE backed businesses and advising PE on the buyside of platform investments. Gordon is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAS).
