John Detweiler

I am an Audit Director in the Real Estate and Construction team based in London, with 15 years of experience working with investors, developers and multinational groups. People come to me for high-quality audit services, practical advice and support navigating complex financial reporting and regulatory requirements. I focus on building long-term relationships and helping clients achieve their business objectives with confidence.

I spent the first seven years of my career in the United States and have also worked extensively across Asia, giving me a strong international perspective. I primarily work with private real estate investors, including those from the US, the Middle East and Asia, and I have significant experience supporting multinational and listed groups as well as Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Drawing on this international experience, I help clients navigate the UK reporting environment while providing pragmatic advice tailored to their specific circumstances.

Alongside my client responsibilities, I am a member of our Real Estate and Construction Risk and Quality Group, where I help shape audit methodology and support the delivery of efficient, robust and high-quality audits. I am equally passionate about developing people and helping colleagues grow professionally and personally. Whether supporting an overseas investor entering the UK market or a complex real estate group managing reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions, I focus on delivering practical solutions and a collaborative client experience.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three young boys.
