BDO has advised the shareholders and management team of Academy Insurance Services on the recent investment by private equity firm Blixt LLP.
Academy Insurance Services is a specialist community broker providing advice led insurance services to over 60,000 policy holders. Operating through a branch network the business offers an extensive portfolio of policies providing personal cover for both individuals and their families, as well as tradesmen and SME commercial clients. Since being founded over 25 years ago, Academy has grown significantly through organic business development, new branch openings and targeted acquisitions of regional brokers and has become a highly trusted partner to its clients throughout the communities it serves.
