Tech Nation Rising Stars – shortlist announced
The second year of Tech Nation Rising Stars is proving how competitive the tech start-up industry is. Despite an uncertain macro environment, applications for this year’s Tech Nation Rising Stars competition were up 30% compared to last year.
Encouragingly, we’ve seen an increase in applications from companies led by female founders, 27% more than last year. In total, 340 early stage tech companies from across the UK applied for this year’s competition – demonstrating a strong demand for the support, mentoring and connections that Rising Stars provides.
Of the applicant companies, we’re delighted to announce the 33 semi-finalists that have successfully navigated the first stage of the competition, and will have the opportunity to pitch to a panel of industry investors, advisors and stakeholders in Manchester on 15 and 16 January 2020.
As sponsors, we’ll be providing feedback on business plans and pitch decks to support their push to reach the Grand Final taking place in London on 12 February 2020.
Congratulations to the following companies who have been announced as the 33 regional semi-finalists:
East of England
We Build Bots
We look forward to meeting each of the semi-finalists on 15 and 16 January.
